If this had a negative 5 star I would click it. Pre-loading funds is brutal and the app and website are a joke. Whatever clown developed this should be fired.
This app is an improvement over the old one in almost every way. The ability to add funds and quickly check my balance were my most requested features. A lot of people are confused. Its not an extra $1 to park using the app, its a MINIMUM charge of $1 when using cell activation. Same as its always been. Who parks for short enough time to be under $1 anyway? The only thing missing is PayPal support. Almost there, YYC Parking!
This is such a piece of $hit. It takes forever to sign up and then errors when I try to add money. Edmontons app is way easier to use. Im not paying a ticket if I get one. Im so mad right now
The app charges an additional $1 for each transaction using a phone! This is ridiculous given the already high cost of parking in Calgary.
The first four words in the description of this app are save time and money. And then I find out that Im going to be paying $1 each time I use this app. This is a joke, right? Calgary already has the most expensive parking in North America and now you are charging us for using this app? Which, by the way, we have no choice but to use if we want to use our mobiles to park - they shut down the old one and just let us think it was a bug. I think Parkplus is a great system. I think its sh*tty that you are gouging people like myself who find it more convenient to use their cell phones to park rather than be late for the kids doctors appointments because you have to fumble around at the machines. Shame on you, CPA.
The previous version was better at showing parking availability. Now it doesnt work 95% of the time.
The old app was way better if not as feature rich. This one is is just a bunch of gooblygook thrown together. Worst part is I cant have two users to one license plate. How does a family with more than one driver use this? Get back to the drawing board.

All I want to do us see how many available parking spaces there are without signing in. My sign in doesnt work despite being copy & pasted from the email. Terrible update.
Having used this app for a few weeks now, I still do not find it as convenient or intuitive as the original ParkPlus app. It frequently logs me out of my account, despite my preference that it be remembered. The layout of the screen is not very convenient, with the start/stop button down off the bottom of the screen. I am a big fan of the ParkPlus system, but so far this app has yet to impress me.
Crap update. Crashes. Forgets passwords. Horrible. Must use if you want to park in Calgary. I cant understand why they replaced the old app with this pile of crap.
Its great that we can finally enter payment info through the app but everything else about this is terrible. Every page has about 5 similar size buttons so you never know where to click. Why have the reset button on login BEFORE the login button? People are more likely to click that. Needs a UX expert to fix it up and then it might be decent.
This is a TERRIBLE app. The previous version was excellent, but this interface is horrible. Often times, I am not sure if I have actually started a session or not. This was a big backwards step. Honestly, go back to where you had it...that one worked.
This is the worst app ever. It works less than 50% of the time. Sometimes you cant get a parking session started from the app, sometimes you cant end it. The proper page just wont appear. I should be able to input a different license # if I am riding with someone else and not using my car but want to pay. Or you should be able to register more than one license # per account. You should be able to check your usage immediately rather than having to make a request and then wait for a day for someone to send you a pdf report. I dont like the fact that I have to top up my account with a minimum of $25. This app is NOT user friendly or convenient. The programmers need to go back go the drawing board and create something much much better.
Again today I realize that this is absolutely the worst app I have EVER used. And wouldnt you know it apps have been around a while. Maybe, just maybe, you should take the $1 you take from me every time I use it to find someone to build a real app. The fact I had to even give it 1 star makes me sick! Pathetic!
This is literally the worst app I’ve ever seen on my phone. And remember it is produced by our beloved government. Besides all the awful points people are mentioning here, I want to add one more thing. Please let us to see the account activities right on the app, not through email, not by month!
Awkward account setup and control. Requires you know your parking zone number - who knows??! Doesnt have the option of paying by hour - I needed an hour but paid for full day rate by just "start a session" with no options available to select one hour only!! Crap app!
This app has locked me out time and again. Once passwords are "reset" it still wont let me login. But why should ParkPlus care? Their sole purpose is to collect as much money as possible - so the more tickets they dole out, the better. A hack app job for a hack business with too much privilege.
