MyParking app for iPhone and iPad

Works fine. Would like to suggest an option to unlock app using fingerprint.

Wow scathing reviews on this one! It works just fine for starting/stopping sessions and seeing my balance. Thats all I need. And contrary to other reviews there is NOT a "$1 fee" per transaction to use the app. It is a $1 minimum parking session when activating the session with your cell phone (whether app, SMS, or call).

This is a great app that does everything you would want to do to manage your Calgary parking account. You can register multiple license plate numbers and when you activate a parking session from your phone it will be good for any one of the license plate numbers registered. If you are trying to start two parking sessions for two different vehicles, then you would need to use two phone numbers, but if you have two or three vehicles registered, you do not need to specify which one you parked. Also, now you can add funds from the iPhone app, a great addition!

This app is an improvement over the old one in almost every way. The ability to add funds and quickly check my balance were my most requested features. A lot of people are confused. Its not an extra $1 to park using the app, its a MINIMUM charge of $1 when using cell activation. Same as its always been. Who parks for short enough time to be under $1 anyway? The only thing missing is PayPal support. Almost there, YYC Parking!

Im updating my previous rating from 3 Stars to 5 Stars. Yes, I found the app a little confusing to set up initially. Reality, I called the Calgary Parking Authority (CPA) office and they we great at helping set it up. Yes, I believed I could only register one vehicle with the app. Reality, one can definitely register more than one vehicle plate with the app. Call the CPA if you dont know how. Yes, I believed that every usage had a $1.00 service charge above and beyond the cost of parking. I used the app anyway and sucked it up (the cost of doing business) Reality, $1.00 is the minimum spend and is included in the cost of parking, not an additional service charge above and beyond the cost of parking. I figured it out by emailing the CPA and asking (nicely) for more clarity. They have another great reason which I support as well - if you want to know, then make the call. Yes, there are a lot of negative reviews... Reality, thats because people havent taken the time to call, ask questions and gain the same clarity. Yes, the registration process is clunky thus they deserve 4 stars. Reality, they havent throat punched all the people who gave rude and disrespectful reviews thus they earn an extra Star from me ;-) ##### Previous Review: Ive been using the previous park plus app for some time and resisted switching to this app based on all the negative reviews. Now that the previous app is no longer available I had to start using this one. Setting up this app is a bit confusing from the start, so I picked up the phone [what a novel idea] and spoke with Jeff - I was up and running in a couple minutes. Jeff was a big help. While on the phone with Jeff, I decided to ask him questions about all the negative reviews. YES - this app allows you to use more than one vehicle. The app is a little glitchy, but Im sure you guys will figure it out. When you do, I will happily give you five stars. One thing I really dislike - having pay a $1 service charge to use the app. I already have to pay for parking, but I have to pay an additional service fee every time I use the app? Why? 5 stars for customer service 1 star for charging me an addition dollar per use 3 stars

Any other parking app is indescribably better. Ill just use the meter.

I cant use my smart car on my account bc I have another car associated with account? I need to carry two phones. Get with it Calgary. This app is the worst

Not sure what’s going on. The old app was decent if a little feature-poor. This is just a hot mess. From a UX perspective, you can’t get much worse. Were they trying to save money by killing the old app and sticking in this mess of a web view? Someone needs to be fired over there. Bring back the old app!

I have never come across an app this bad in AppStore. Its almost unusable. The previous version, despite the old iOS6 UI, the UX was a bit better….at least I was able to start and stop a parking not session without too much problem. In this version, I had to kill the app a couple times just to find out if I have started my parking session. Nothing wrong with wrapping the app around a website if it was done properly. Some steps (eg. Tapping on the P logo) would take you out of the app and makes this app unusable. The only way to get back into it was to restart the app. Very disappointed with CPA, and also very surpsied that Apple approved this app for AppStore!

There should be no "add funds". I should be able to add a credit card to my profile and pay from that automatically every time. The app should work no differently than a pay station. With the ease of remembering your plates, account information and credit card on file. Fix this ASAP please. Otherwise broken.

$1 to use the app? Thats silliness. Plus, every step results in a server error.
